Pearl's New Home..

Pearl is fitting right in with her new family in Kentucky!

This is a little nap after a long flight and her exhausting day in her kennel! (How cute is her pearl collar?)

She didn't waste any time gettin to know her new buddy Alvey..

And now you can all see why we nick named her bunny! Sh looks like a little cottontail!

"We absolute adore her though! She really is such a sweetie. I let her sleep with me last night and she slept the whole time. She's really fitting in well and I'm sooo glad we got her. I want to thank you for all the hard work and dedication you have put into her for the past two months. All the pictures, blogs, emails, information, toys, ...well just everything. You are a fabulous breeder and I was blessed to have you. I love all the information you sent me and that book is awesome. I'm going to start reading it tonight because all the information in it is very interesting. Anyway I couldn't thank you enough...for real! Bogarts New Home..

Bogart, now Tobie, is fitting right in with his new family! No lack of hugs and kisses here!!

"(My 5 year old)  wakes up early every morning to take him out!
he doesn't quite have enough energy to keep up with this little guy. :)

"My 17 year old stayed home on a Friday night waiting to meet this little guy. Then, Saturday, he had several girls stop by to play with the dog. Guess he realizes Puppies help with the ladies. Hahaha"

 "Tobie is doing fantastic! He has adjusted very well to life with three kids and a peek-a-poo. :)
He is very playful, doing great with housebreaking, and getting better with the kennel. :)
The kennel whining is totally our fault. The kids never want to put him in it. I finally had to lay down the law and make him have more of a routine, which includes the kennel! He still wakes at 3am to go pee and poop, but he is still so little that I don't mind. It is like having a baby all over again. Lol
Tobie enjoyed his first trip to the pet store yesterday. He has so many people wanting to pet or hold him and he was completely fine with it. He is truly a little sweet heart!" 

Oh, we miss our little toe biter.. But knowing he is snuggled and spoiled with attention makes it all ok..

Empty Nest..

All of our pups are in their new homes now! Tucker (Ashton) was the first to go, and is loving his new family in Salt Lake City, Utah.. Louie (Hudson) adores his new family in Lehi, Utah.. Coco (Coco Chanel) is snuggled and kissed by her new family in Orem, Utah.. Pearl (they kept her name Pearl) barely made her flight due to the freezing weather here, but made it safely to her loving new home and play mate Alvey, in London, Kentucky.. Toby (Bogart) Arrived safely after a delayed flight, due to mechanical problems on his plane, to his adoring new home in Germantown, Tennesee.. And last but not least, Humphrey (they are keeping his name too!) Arrived a little shaken up, but safe and sound and is loving his new family and play mate Daphne in Huntington, New York!

 

We feel a little lost. My daughter especially misses the pups. We always get too attached, but I guess that is what makes them so well rounded and social puppies.

 

I will post updated pictures as I get them so feel free to check back periodically to see how all of our Carter Canines are doing!  

Humphrey's New Home..

After BARELY making his flight, because of weather.. Humphrey made it safely to his new home in New York! He is now enjoying his new family and being completely spoiled with hugs & kisses!



They have decided to keep his name Humphrey.. it really does fit him. The best part of raising puppies is knowing they are going to good loving homes!

 

We miss you little man! But we know you will be happy in your new home!

 

"He is the best puppy ever! So calm but playful. He is so easy going and we are having so much fun with him!! He did great last night. Slept in crate from 11:45 pm and woke up a little before am. Not one poopy accident (I know I'm jinxing myself)"
 

Yay for Humphrey!! So glad he is fitting in and being a good little doggie!!

8 Weeks Old..

I can't believe it has been 8 weeks since these babies were born! The first two weeks feels like a month, then the rest of the time just flies by!

No one wanted to pose for my last picture.. Who blames them when I have a floor covered in toys and two kids that are begging me to hurry so they can play with the puppies..

This bunch of puppies have been SO much fun! They are all so smart and are doing so well in their Kennels and potty training!

They got their touch up haircuts yesterday, Health Certificates today.. Bathed and Blow Dried tonight..I think we are ready to go!

Weather permitting, the last of our little bunch are going to their new homes tomorrow! Fingers crossed, Jack Frost is our friend!!

Coco Chanel's New Family..

This little girl reminds me soo much of her mama..We are all really going to miss her spunky personality.. Her cuddles and her growls, that kindof sound like a hissing cat.. :)

Her new family has come on a weekly basis to visit her, so she is familiar with them and wasn't very nervous.. They recently lost their schnauzer and are so excited to start the new puppy adventure! In fact SO excited they came three days early.. They just couldn't wait any longer, and I don't blame them because she is a sweetie.. We'll miss you 'coco bean'  

Coco's mama doesn't have horns.. She is just standing in front of our mounted buck, ha ha.. Just thought I should point that out.. Hey, I never claimed to be a photographer! lol.



Only 5 MORE Days!!

It's getting closer!! I am going to miss every one of these puppies! We love them all soo much! They have been such a huge part of our life the last 2 months!

I'm getting all of their 'stuff' and paperwork together and will be shipping it to their new families tomorrow.. Just a couple of corrections.. They are eating solid food now, so you don't have to soften it.. You'll just want to make sure they get drinks of water periodically throughout the day.. Don't worry if they don't eat for the first 24hours.. Such an adjustment to change surroundings and families. They will be fine and should be back on their food  by Saturday evening or starving by Sunday morning. They are just about sleeping through the night! You will want to get up with them to let them outside in the middle of the night though, just until they are use to the time change..

Free Time..

I've had a hard time getting video's to upload.. I usually put way more on, the puppies are so fun to watch and I love sharing their craziness. This is just a short one from last night. Just a taste of their little personalities! background music is thanks to Netflicks, nightmare before Christmas.. And the heavy breathing is my little boy, 'helping' me record.. I have found they all come running when I kiss to them! I love it cuz when its time for them to go to bed.. I just go to their kennel and kiss to them and they come a running!

 

The puppies love their free time! They are so fun to watch run and play and discover.. here are a few pictures of them.. Simple toys.. a sock tied into a knot..  piece of wrinkled up paper.. so easy to keep these babies entertained!

 

Pearl, Bogart & Humphrey.. playing tug-a-war with a sock.. they LOVE socks.. But it is best to tie a knot into them, so it is more like a toy.. Then you aren't giving them the 'ok' to play with ALL socks they find.. The next thing you know you will have a sock thief! ;-) 

My daughter loves Bogart.. LOVES him.. He is such a little lover boy too! Attention is his thing..And he prefers people over is siblings.. But, just a warning.. he loves to chew on toes!!

Humphrey is obsessed with our rug.. He rolls it, attacks it.. unrolls it.. runs around it, then starts the whole process all over.. It's hilarious to watch!

My son is not as much of an animal lover as my daughter, but since the puppies have been out alot lately and he is really enjoying tormenting them! In this picture, humphrey is trying to steal a kiss, bogart is feeling left out and sneaking in for some action.. and Chanel just jumped in and started tugging on his pants!

And our sweet Pearl.. Chewing away at the paper.. She loves the noise it makes and will often pack it with her as she is running in circles around the room.

7 Weeks Old..

Little Piranhas!!

Another busy week coming for the puppies! This week they get to be separated from each other and have their own kennels. This way their flight won't be as traumatic, because they will be flying in their 'home'. They also get another haircut, another visit to the doctor for their health certificates and their first set of shots!

 

It always amazes me how much they can change in one week! Bogart has grown taller, Humphrey rounder, Pearl is more feisty, and Chanel, well, Chanel has decided she need to be the boss and doesn't let her brothers push her around at all! They all are chewing everything! Always want to be biting.. Those baby teeth are sharp!!

 

Humphrey



Humphrey is a cuddler.. He really likes his free time on the floor.. But he will wander back to me and crawl in my lap just to hang out.. He has the sweetest little face! I just adore him!

 

Bogart

This green eyed white chocolate beauty always wants to be with me. I couldn't get him to hold still for his pictures, he kept jumping off the chair. He will follow me all over the house and is so curious about everything!

 

Chanel

This little Coco bean is a spit fire! Chanel is small but it doesn't stop her! She loves playing tug with her sister and usually wins the toy! Chanel loves her cuddle time.. Always giving kisses like her mama!  

 

Pearl

This little gem has really become brave and out going this week! She isn't as fiery as her sister, but has become really playful! She will run circles around the room, then come back to me for a scratch.. then off she goes again!

 

I can't believe we only have one more week with our babies! We are so lucky to have found perfect homes for all of them and even though we will be SO sad when they leave.. It is nice they will all be loved and spoiled by their new families!

6 weeks Old..

 As CUTE As They Come!!

I'm sorry I am posting these so late.. These pups are keeping me BUSY and not Blogging.. But better late than never! They are all doing really well potty training.. really playful, no barking so far.. but every once in awhile we will hear a growl and it is the cutest thing we have ever heard!They are all growing so fast and have the cutest personalities!

Pearl

This little cotton ball is a little princess! She loves to play, loves to chew my shoes, and is very brave when it comes to exploring!

 

 She is gorgeous! her new family has been waiting a LONG time for her to come home!

Only 2 more weeks!!

Bogart

 This macho man is so playful and is a little toe biter! He adores my daughter and cries when play time is over. He is a snuggler and loves any and all attention!

His new family is anxiously awaiting his arrival! I know they will adore him because he just radiates with puppy love!  

 

Chanel



This tiny puff of fur is a spit-fire! She doesn't let her brothers pick on her with out putting up a fight, but LOVES her daily snuggles! She is not afraid of anything and is hard for me to keep track of during play time because she loves to explore..

Her new family live locally and comes and visits her weekly. They want her to stay with me until her 8 week old birthday.. I'm glad for it too!!

 

Humphrey

Here is our snuggle bug! He likes to play, and picks on his sisters on a regular basis.. But he always crawls into my lap just to hang out and watch whats going on. He is an absolute sweetheart!

Humphrey's family is in New York! They are excited to meet him and I know they will love him, cuz ya can't help it.. He is THAT loveable!

Hudson's New Family..

Today is Hudson's Special Day!!

Hudson's new family came to pick him up tonight..

He will be going to his new home in Lehi, Utah!

I am going to miss this little guy greeting me with kisses every morning.. Such a happy go lucky puppy.. First one to the gate for potty breaks with out fail!

His new family will be showering him with loves! He adores kids so it is a perfect match!

They all came to pick him up, but fell asleep on the long drive to our house.. They will be so surprised when they wake up.. Name is still TBD.. but I will keep you posted..

Ashton's New Family..

Today is Ashton's special day!

 Although, we are really sad it's already time..

 He gets to go to his new home in Salt Lake City, Utah..

 His new family named him Tucker, and they are the cutest couple..

Tucker is their first 'baby' and you should see all the fun things they have bought for him!

He is already SOOOO loved and spoiled! It makes letting him go a little easier..
